Scott Humston-2 Minute Tips-Episode 5-Check, 1,2,3.
Here’s a tip to keep you sounding professional in every venue you do. Bring your own mic.
A wireless microphone is three parts—a base receiver (that plugs into the sound board), the belt pack, and the mic itself. You’ll want a professional mic, and one that you change the frequency on, to eliminate interference. The best receiver and pack is by Sennheiser.
The microphone itself—you have options—Countryman makes a excellent mic. Be sure to get the one that matches the input of the belt pack.
You might prefer an over-the-ear mic to a lapel. You’ll get less feedback and noise from the over-the-ear kind.
