Kneemail September 2023-Summer Highlights

Happy September!

As I share with you this month, we are preparing for our first Hurricane of the season! At this time, it looks like it will just barely touch us here in central Florida. We’re praying that there will be minimal damage and no loss of life.

I am wrapping up a busy summer of local and regional ministry. In July, there were Trips to Texas & Pennsylvania to be back with Wylie Baptist in Abilene and a fantastic four days of Sharing Wonder in the heart of Amish country, just north of Lititz. We saw children give their hearts to Christ! (Your support of the tract, I Said Yes To Jesus! was vital to that week! Thank you!)  In addition, I filled in a few days at Wonderworks here in Orlando. The beginning of August found me returning after four years to Las Vegas to attend the “Magic Live!” conference. It’s the largest gathering of illusionists in North America! It was a great (and much-needed) time to see friends, learn new skills, and make new connections. The conference’s theme was “Beginnings”; if you’d like to read about some of my friends, I blogged a bit about it here.

As the summer draws to a close, I am excited to return to our Pro Kids Show! school outreaches that share Character messages with kids and families. And the Laugh All Night events with New Missions that raise awareness for the children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. At the end of this month, I’ll also be sharing at Comedy for a Cause for Jonah’s Joy, a home for girls in crisis based in Crossville, Tennessee. You can preview my tour schedule at scotthumston.com/tour. I hope we can connect if I am coming to a city near you! (Feel free to reach out if you or your church is curious about reaching your community or school.)

This month’s insert involves the kids’ Creativity & The Creator program. This twelve-week program was designed for mid-week summer programming. It got excellent reviews from the kids who went through the program. This fabulous, easy-to-use program can be adapted for any kids’ church programming.

Here’s why this program is vital: Teaching children to be creative can help them develop problem-solving skills, which they can apply to various situations throughout their lives.

Second, encouraging creativity in children can help them build confidence and self-esteem as they learn to express themselves and their ideas in a positive and constructive way.

Third and most importantly, cultivating creativity in children allows them to understand the truth that every creation has a creator…starting with the one who created us! That we each—that every person—is Wonderfully made!   And as they grow up to become the next generation of makers, thinkers, pastors, missionaries, inventors, and creators.

For a donation of any amount, you (or your church) will have access to all the files, graphics, videos, and the “scope and sequence” (what to do & when). It’s original material that can be used to glorify our Creator and teach children that using their creativity can (and should) glorify the Creator! We’d love for you to share the link with a church or kids’ ministry that you may know would benefit from the content.

Let’s embark on a mission together! We want to partner with you to proclaim the Gospel to families! With any heartfelt donation, unlock this incredible resource. Your generous support is vital for us to effectively and uniquely share His wonder with the lost.

I hope you have an incredible fall and daily experience Christ’s grace, goodness, and peace.

Sharing His Wonder,

Scott Signature In Blue
